In the past, websites were valued for their size. Many contained an overwhelming amount of content, but were completely unusable.
Modern website design should reflect simplicity; looking and acting more of an app than a watering hole of information thats been amassed over decades. Users want information – specific information – and they want it in milliseconds. Long, multi-level menus, complex navigation and dated accessibility can create more lost customers.
At Rip Current, our first and foremost analysis is in the actual usability of your website design. We’ve found that many folks don’t realize that their website is no longer the central command center of their business, rather a gateway that connects their brand across multiple applications and platforms.
our process starts with questions.
We don’t assume anything. We do an in-depth analysis of your current website, and get a ton of experiential feedback from your company. Next, we will take quite a few factors into account before suggesting the first edit on your website:
Why are current/potential customers coming to your website?
Can they immediately find what they are looking for?
Is there an underlying sales funnel or sales process that assists customers in the shopping experience?
Are there clear and well-defined calls to action?
Do you have a process for re-selling past customers, remediating cart abandonment, up-selling customers or a sales funnel for “window shoppers?”
Does your site effectively build your email marketing list?
Do you have a process in place for re-targeting and re-marketing to potential customers?
Do you have a system in place to track your most popular content, and determine why it is most popular?
Are you constantly publishing new, original, keyword-targeted content on your site?
Are you aware of your domain authority and backlinks?
What UX (Overall User Experience) score does your site have?
How are your customers finding your website?
Is your site device agnostic optimized (just being “mobile friendly” doesn’t work anymore).
What keywords are you trying to rank for? Is it working?
These are a fraction of the questions we’ll investigate and answer throughout the analysis process of your existing website. Unfortunately, there are a lot of design agencies out there that assume all you need is a fresh coat of paint, and voila! Old customers will return and new ones will be compelled to buy what you’re selling.
Unfortunately, It just doesn’t work that way.
Ask yourself a simple question: “Is my website a useful tool; one which delivers actual and trackable ROI?”
If the answer is “no” (or “I don’t know”), then we need to talk.
Did we mention we offer monthly payment plans for websites of any size?
What a typical project looks like start to finish…
To give you a better idea of what the process looks like at Rip Current, here is what a typical website design project might looks like from initial meeting to launch (and beyond):
We meet with your company and discuss overall goals. We ask a LOT of questions, and start to paint a very clear picture of who your customer is, and how we could better reach them.
We analyze everything under your “brand umbrella” and determine what your company would need to do to accomplish objectives discussed in initial meeting. We provide your company with a full report based on data, our experience, and custom Artificial Intelligence applications. A well-thought plan, not a “hunch.”
Rip Current will deliver a complete proposal of what needs to be done along with an exact cost to complete the project. No hidden fees, no up-charges, no BS. Immediately following this, Rip Current will create detailed plans, mockups, designs and develop effective marketing campaigns to accomplish goals. Your company can agree to everything, or custom itemize the proposal to fit your budget.
Design & Build
Once all the paperwork is in place, Rip Current will build out your brand new website, build out social platforms, finalize marketing campaigns, create any specified video, graphics, copywriting, design custom email campaigns, etc. Basically, we are hard at work completing all agreed upon objectives.
